This is a normal thing I must say; you have dark underarms and inner thighs are getting darker. This are very common so you are not the only one with this situation.
There are some reasons why you have dark underarms and inner thighs; the creams we use, your shaving products or sweats. I must say even though they are very common, they can be very embarrassing.
CAUSES OF INNER THIGHS DARKNESS
Having thick thighs or being overweight is a prime factor to having dark thighs.
Usually when you walk around, your thighs rub against each other, causing colour discoloration (dark underarms) and chaffing (itchy inner thighs)
To avoid this, you are advised to wear clothes that are loosely fitting and also avoid wearing synthetic and nylon fabrics since they cause irritations
EXPOSURE TO THE SUN
While having some “sun” time is very essential to the body since is a natural source of vitamin D, spending too much time in the sun causes the increasing of dark pigment to your skin.
Now this mainly relates to women. Some women sometimes notice that their inner thighs get darken during their menstrual periods. Also hormonal imbalance due to pregnancy also causes darken thighs.
Also, the use of some oral contraceptives are known to cause dark underarms. So I would advice you to ask your doctor for alternative if needed.
As I said above, tight clothes are known to produce more sweat, thus causing darken thighs. The more you walk in them, the more your thighs rub against each other.
HOME REMEDIES FOR DARK INNER THIGHS AND UNDER ARMS
Lemons have strong acids that act as bleaching agents for the skin.
Cut lemon in half and rub on your under arm and inner thigh for at least 15 minutes. Wash off, dry by patting and repeat daily. After patting to dry, apply olive or coconut oil on skin.
Cut and massage aloe Vera on your inner thigh and under arm daily. It repairs the skin and reduces inflammation.
YOGHURT & LEMON:
Mix juice of lemon and yogurt till it forms paste. Then gently apply to your inner thigh and dark underarms. Leave it on for 20 minutes then wash off and pat dry. Then finally apply coconut or olive oil on skin.
OATMEAL AND YOGURT:
The mixture of yogurt and oatmeal is good for exfoilating the skin and making it light. Make a paste by adding a teaspoon each of oatmeal, yogurt and lemon juice and apply it on the skin. Let it dry for 20 minutes and wash off
EXERCISE AND LOSE WEIGHT
This is not a compulsory thing but if you are weighty and your skin rubs off each other thus making your thigh dark, try losing weight.
If you go on a diet regiment and it doesn’t work, see a doctor or a nutritionist.
The best thing about potatoes here is, its a natural bleaching agent so this works well for the thighs and underarms. Cut it into slices and leave them on the dark skinned spot and leave for 30 minutes. Then wash with warm water and pat dry.
HERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL AND NATURAL WAYS TO LIGHTEN YOUR SKIN
HONEY AND POWDERED MILK
Just like the lemon and yogurt, make a thick paste using 1 teaspoon each of honey, powdered milk and lemon juice.
To make it more effective, add a few drops of almond oil and apply the paste to your darkened underarm and thighs. Leave on for 20 minutes, wash and pat dry
